Spikenard Farm and Honeybee Sanctuary offers a series of one-day workshops in biodynamic/sustainable beekeeping.
Participants can be experienced beekeepers as well as beginners. We teach methods that respect the honeybee as a living organism wits its own innate needs. We have to learn and respect these needs for her to regain vitality & health. Our biodynamic approach, based on Rudolf Steiner's insights and 35 years of experience, lets us deepen our understanding of this insect, deeply interconnected with the cosmos and the earth.
At our sanctuary you will experience and learn to work with the bees without protection, which will positively change the way you relate to them.

Biodynamic/Sustainable Beekeeping Training
This training will take place over two years, with two three-day sessions a year.
It is intended for individuals familiar with beekeeping and interested in learning the biodynamic/sustainable approach. Beginners are also welcomed , but all participants are expected to have bees prior to starting the training.
Due to the logical progression of the course, it will be necessary to attend the sessions in the right sequence.
It is our goal to enable you to practice, represent and guide others in biodynamic/sustainable beekeeping methods upon completion of the training.
